Steps in Time

One, two, three, go! When the stallion enters the arena I’m ready to capture that burst of energy when his halter comes off, and he takes flight. He is so happy to be freed, and dances around the arena with gaits of his choosing. He may begin with jumping in the air and kicking up his heels, then an agility run around the arena, and may end with a graceful gait where he shows off the beautiful horse that he knows himself to be. My camera can rapidly capture the sequence of his movements, but for me there is no one image that tells of this spectacular display I have witnessed. My ongoing series: One, Two, Three uses these dance movements and my creative endeavors to incorporate a series of images into one cohesive piece.
