Thank you to juror Paula Tognarelli, Director of the Griffin Museum of Photography for choosing my image, Marwari Stallion from India for inclusion into the Portraits exhibition at The Center for Fine Art Photography in Fort Collins, CO. Sadly the exhibit has been cancelled due to COVID, but I’m honored to have been selected nevertheless. The Marwari Horse is a unique breed from India, noted for ears that curve inward and touch at the tips. At one time they almost became extinct due to historical events, but have been making a comeback. There are only a handful in the U.S. but I had the opportunity to travel to India in 2017 to photograph them.
