After clearing my plate of the annual pain of completing my income taxes, it was time to treat myself to a few days of photographing. With the intent of exploring some new places, I headed out early to Elkhorn Slough and Moss Landing. After coming over the hill from sunny Carmel to find the Monterey coast socked in with fog, I almost turned back. However, I had to remind myself that this was about exploring, so even though the day may not produce some satisfying images at least I may find something worth coming back too. You just never know……. and with every day there is a story to be had and I wasn’t disappointed with what I found. I can’t help but smile every time I look at this picture, I think there is a lesson here for mankind in how to get along with the masses.
